Workshops tailored to your needs
Ever wanted to try weaving? Struggling with setting up your new loom? Need a refresher? Then you are at the right place.
Location: Home studio near Leiden or in your home if you want to work with your loom and cannot bring it.
Who can weave?
Whether you're completely new to weaving and have never held a shuttle or are an experienced weaver eager to try different types of looms like rigid heddle, 4-shaft table or floor loom, my workshops are suitable for all weaving abilities. I will be there to guide and assist you every step of the way, ensuring that you have a fulfilling and enjoyable weaving experience.
Workshops tailored to your needs.
Working with your previous knowledge of weaving (or lack of) I will develop a session that is unique to you. Whether this is working with your loom (in my home studio if you can bring it or in your home for an extra fee), on my soari loom in my home studio or on one of my rigid heddle looms. Together we will determine which skills need improving or developing.
What can you weave?
You may make a scarf, a small wall hanging, or fabric that you might make something out of later.
What can you learn?
You can learn things such as :
Zen weaving where I can show techniques such as incorporating various materials including fabric strips, fleece and so on.
Hand manipulated techniques .
Setting up your loom.
How to read and weave a draft.
And much more....
Rates
Tools and material are provided in my home studio but since everyone works at their own pace, the fabric that you make will be weighed and you will be charged accordingly.
For one person, excluding material, for a minimum of 1 hour around Leiden, 2 hours if further away:
Home studio : 45 euro per hour including 21% VAT
Other location : 55 euro per hour including 21% VAT + 19 cts per km

Group sessions
Group sessions can also be organized privately for a group of maximum 5 in your place of choice.
