Introduction to weaving mini session

Get ready for a fun and relaxing experience, and immerse yourself in the art of weaving and self-expression.
As you arrive, the looms will be ready for you, allowing you to simply sit, unwind, and enjoy.
At the end of this workshop you will have created your very own wall hanging, that will bring warmth and personality to your space and that you can be proud of.
Feel inspired to bring your own materials and add a personal touch to your creation, making it truly unique.
Looms available during the workshop: Kromski Harp, presto or Louet Erica table loom.
Beginner's workshop: Introduction to weaving
Dates: Thursday September 12th and 19th 2024 (10:00 – 13:00)
Level: beginner
Group size: min 4- max 6
Duration: 6 hours (split over 2 lessons)
Course fee: €115 material included

Have you ever wanted to try weaving? Are you tempted to buy or have a loom but unsure where to start? Or maybe you just want to create something unique? Then this workshop is perfect for you.
Join us for a 6-hour workshop where you'll learn some key basics skills, including:
Easy loom setup: Learn the simple steps to dress your rigid heddle loom and get it ready for weaving.
Creative weaving: Unleash your imagination and explore various techniques to create beautiful woven designs.
Finishing touches: Discover the straightforward methods for adding fringes and giving your woven piece a polished look through proper washing.
At the end of this workshop you will have a beautiful scarf or cowl (you might have to take the loom home to finish weaving it) and will be able to set up your loom independently for simple projects and start weaving with confidence on a rigid heddle loom.

Beginner's course: Creating textured weaving with finger controlled weaves
Get ready to weave with confidence on a rigid heddle loom (RH loom).
Level: beginner / intermediate
Group size: min 4- max 6
Duration: 15 hour (split over 5 lessons)
Languages: English, French or Dutch*
In this workshop you will learn things such as (but not necessarily in that order)
Planning for a project: Discover how to effectively plan and prepare for your weaving project.
Choosing suitable yarn: Learn how to select the right yarn for your weaving project.
Dressing your loom: Master the essential technique of setting up your warp to be ready for weaving.
Finger-controlled weaves: Explore various finger-controlled weaves, including Leno, Danish Medallions, and more.
Sewing a hem stitch: Acquire the skill of adding a beautiful finish to your work through hem stitching.
Troubleshooting: Gain confidence in solving issues that may arise during the weaving process.
Finishing techniques: Learn the final touches that bring your weaving project to completion.
By the end of this comprehensive workshop, you will be able to confidently choose yarn, plan your own projects, and independently set up your loom for simple projects.

Weaving on a multi shaft loom
Dates: Saturday September 7th,14th, 21st, 28th and October 5th 2024 (10:00 – 13:00)
Level: beginner / intermediate
Group size: min 4- max 6
Duration: 15 hour (split over 5 lessons)
